Stylistics in Tuscany: floral artists should have knowledge of stylistics in order to know which architectural elements are appropriate in flower adornments, and to expand their cultural background. Hence, the training program includes a trip to Tuscany, where one can experience and study firsthand various origins of European art and culture. Traditional places such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Siena will be visited. The villas and gardens of the Medici will be explored, and the artists and architects of the Renaissance will be admired. For this week-long trip, guests without floristry training are also welcomed.

On the one hand, floristry has clear principles and rules, as any other creative profession which needs to be respected. On the other hand, floristry allows exploration of nature, recognition of its manifestations and its diverse characters; and together with personal imagination, floristry offers an outstanding range for creativity. Pointing out the peculiarities, limiting to what is necessary, combining the unusual, and making visible the unseen – those are some guidelines that are dear to me, and which help me to clarify the viewer the beauty of nature with its multiple diversity.

Apart from supermarket bouquets and overbred cultured flowers, floral means exploring and living in harmony with nature and seasons. The study of nature includes exploration of botanical, historical, and contemporary gardens; and practicing to respect life and plants. Those who feel intrinsically connected with nature experience joy in their work and life.
